Guitar Lessons for Kids: FAQ
What age can kids start guitar lessons?
Many children are ready from around 6 or 7, when their hands can press the strings comfortably. A smaller guitar helps younger children; get in touch to talk about your child.
Do online guitar lessons work for kids?
Yes, with a parent nearby for the first few lessons to help with the camera and tuning.
Can my child take graded guitar exams?
Yes. Preparation is available for Trinity College London, Rockschool, ABRSM and London College of Music grades.
What size guitar does my child need?
It depends on your child’s height and age. Ask before buying and I can guide you.
Your next step
Your guitar will not learn itself.
